Rail Industry
The original Clarks van conversion was designed for the rail industry in 1985. Clarks developed the first 12 volt base conversion for the rail service industry which set a new industry standard in safety. Since that time the design specifications have become far more sophisticated to provide a range of welfare facilities in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Maintaining and improving the UK's rail network is a major ongoing activity which requires trained teams of workers to travel to remote locations. Clarks has over a 20 year working relationship with the rail industry and understands the needs of such a transient workforce.
Many of our hundreds of vehicle interior design specifications have been developed specifically for the rail industry.
